Pastel Yellow

Yesterday i bought some nice new pastels - four yellow ones this time. I don't know why but when I decide to try out new pastels I always seem to end up doing circles of colour and blending. So here it is yellow for Project Spectrum's air. I have found this hard because air is hard to reproduce pictorially as you can't see it and yellow isn't my most favourite colour....

  1. Rose yellow is not my favorite color all though it does make one feel warm and sunny inside. I have spent a bit of time reading both of your blogs and thouroughly enjoying the journey.
Thank you for popping by my blog and leaving me the sweet comment. It always makes me smile to find a new friend on my way through internet land.

  2. Beautiful, happy colours. I love yellow, my apartment is yellow becaue it faces north/west and I don't get the sun until late in the day. Your yellow circles makes me smile.

  3. Lovely to meet you to Becky! Yellow isn't my most favourite colour but it is lovely and sunny and cheery. Our kitchen has just turned yellow above the tiles and some of the walls of our hall and landing will be turning yellow as well...

  4. Yellow is a colour that I don't usually like until I see it...if that makes sense!! I think it needs a context...like on a wall or in a painting...I just don't think of it as a colour on its own...strange, but that's just me...

I really like your sunny swirls....:)

  5. I intend to buy a few more pastels each time I go into the art shop (which isn't to frequently). I love them, so much nicer than my cheap ones.... Next time I shall be buying some reds for the next Project Spectrum. Maybe one day I shall have enough to actually do a picture of something.... I need to do more with the yellows though...
